Public play
SlugGuessr does not require an account to play. Daily progress, streaks, and statistics are stored in your browser. The hosting provider may process ordinary request information, such as IP address, browser details, and requested pages, to operate and secure the site.
Curator accounts
The private location desk uses Supabase for authentication and stores curator-entered location names, coordinates, notes, statuses, editor identifiers, and edit timestamps. Access is limited to approved curators.
Google Maps
The private location desk uses Google Maps Platform. Loading the map or searching for a place sends the search and ordinary device and request information to Google. Google handles that information under its Privacy Policy. SlugGuessr keeps Google place search results only in the active browser session; a curator must place the archive coordinate manually.
