Public play
SlugGuessr does not require an account to play. Daily progress, streaks, and statistics are stored in your browser. The hosting provider may process ordinary request information, such as IP address, browser details, and requested pages, to operate and secure the site.
Location suggestions
If you optionally suggest a refined archive location, SlugGuessr stores the pin, location name, note, related photograph, and submission time in Supabase for curator review. Do not include personal information in the suggestion.
Curator accounts
The private location desk uses Supabase for authentication and stores curator-entered location names, coordinates, notes, statuses, editor identifiers, and edit timestamps. Access is limited to approved curators.
Google Maps
Location guessing and the private location desk use Google Maps Platform. Loading a map or searching for a place sends ordinary device and request information—and any curator search—to Google. Google handles that information under its Privacy Policy. SlugGuessr keeps Google place search results only in the active browser session.
